Intevity’s relationship with Under Armour (UA) has spanned over 12 years. During that period, we have delivered over 100 unique projects to ensure velocity and relevance, while staying true to the Under Armour brand. Our partnership has helped the company grow from 9MM in our first year working together to over 900MM a decade later.

Changes in the demands and expectations of the business have been constant over the years, and each project illustrates the variation of our work. ArmourBox is just one example of a success story of many shared by Intevity and UA.  

Under Armour

UA sought to introduce a new digital subscription-based offering and worked with the Intevity team to build it from the ground up. The service needed to integrate into existing online experiences and allow for current customers to deepen their engagement with the brand. This subscription offering aligned with UA’s growth strategy to bring more personalized products and offerings to market.

Intevity helped UA realize that a subscription service required a broader change to how the organization operated, including macro and micro fulfillment. The work required close communication between a number of different departments and vendors who were all newcomers to UA’s digital initiatives. The service called for a unique, centralized stylist role and required a tool for rich product discovery, 1-2-1 personalized recommendations for the subscriber, and the ability for stylists to apply their personal touch. This customization capability was unique to UA and different from their existing merchandising tools and roles.

Intevity and the UA team worked together to build ArmourBox, a successful subscription program that continues to expand and is considered an industry success. Over the past year, 32,000 individuals signed up for ArmourBox and 60,000 boxes have been shipped. UA’s output increased from 260 to 2,500 boxes per week and led to the launch of a bespoke styling tool and AI-driven outfitting.
