An $18 billion global talent management firm that recruits and places over 11,000 employees weekly, engaged Intevity to advise them on their efforts to consolidate disparate staffing and recruiting systems—across nine international subsidiaries—into a unified technology platform. Given the geographically dispersed nature and sheer number of candidates under management, the user needs across the different subsidiaries varied and were not always well-understood.

Through a combination of user interviews, design thinking activities, and onsite workshops, Intevity created user personas, user experience & design principles, and an overall design guide for the new platform. This work helped the company better understand their own employees, needs, and how to better serve both candidates and customers. Intevity also realized that the internal systems and development methodologies needed to be aligned and keep up with the company’s emerging business goals.

Intevity helped the company implement an agile methodology across their teams to immediately improve velocity and built a roadmap to translate the company’s business goals into a next-generation platform. Our team provided strategic guidance to de-risk the massive re-platforming project, designed a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to replace 17 other systems, and developed personas to met the needs of all users through design, resulting in an improved experience and increased adoption of the unified system.
